The 11th. German Open Golf Croquet Tournament will be held at Renzel, close to Hamburg, Germany from Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st May 2017. The Club will be open to competitors for practice on Thursday and Friday before the tournament starts. Holder is Stephen Mulliner/England.
Entries will be limited to 12 players. We try to get in as many as possible players from abroad; a colourful field of players from many nations is part of the tradition of German Open tournaments. The field will be completed with top German players. Matches will be single 13 point games in the preliminary stage and best-of-three 13 point games in the final and semifinals. Those who do not qualify for the knock-out stage will be able to enter a Plate event. All losers will be able to continue playing so that a full final ranking of positions will be produced. The format is subject to adjustments. Two full size croquet lawns will be used double banked, except for the semi-finals and final.
